Why Your Support Matters
Ekwendeni Mission Hospital serves a primary catchment area of 95,000 people across 600 square kilometres of northern Malawi, with referral services reaching an additional 100,000. Many patients travel long distances and arrive at the hospital without the means to pay.
Facilities at the hospital have steadily improved over the years, thanks to God's blessing and the support of many donor agencies and partner churches. We praise God for all the gifts and support of the many donor agencies that have assisted us over the years.
We hope and pray that the hospital is a witness to God, and we aim to serve the surrounding communities to the best of our abilities. Your support — in any form — makes this possible.
What Your Donation Supports
Every contribution — whatever its size — supports holistic care that reaches people who would otherwise go without.
Funding helps ensure every mother in our catchment has access to skilled birth attendance in our 90-bed maternity ward.
Donations support our nutrition recovery programmes, giving malnourished children the treatment they need to survive and thrive.
Your support keeps our HIV testing, counselling, and treatment programmes running for patients across the district.
Contributions fund continuing education and training, helping our 220 staff maintain and improve clinical standards.
We are one of few facilities in the district providing mental health services — made possible by sustained donor support.
Ten PHC programmes reach 95,000 people across 600 sq km, addressing disease prevention at the community level.
